I had surgery this morning and I can't move here, but I feel good about my wheels. It turns out the original slotted RF alloy wheel was out of round and they did not recommend bending it back. So I got these wheels coming, got some wheel locks and I still have to choose tires. My union has all the disability stuff so I should get a grand a week. Going to the hospital for surgery is like a damn sci fi movie now, I have a bar code on my arm, but I get all the graham crackers and juice I want. The painkillers work but I don't feel like they make me happy or anything, disappointment. The car will look better, I still have the damn bumper strips on the sides, I hate them, but until I can afford to repaint the car right I have to live with it. Well the list shrank one row today.

Thanks, yeah I think they are great, they are really classic looking with a touch more accents or whatever than Watanabes. Turns out Watanabes are about $4300 a set and takes six weeks to get. I'm going to Japan in May and I thought about getting some before I found out I can't fix the wheel, but its a lot and I really like these wheels, so glad they are not super expensive.

There is no way I can have a nice car for work, when I'm not at the shop I have to be at convention centers mostly, I go to garages in the city all the time and people do not give a fuck.

I don't drive it to the city, SF roads are bombed out, people get right up on your ass on a hill because nobody knows what a manual is, if I do I have to plan the route.
